Spiky/Caterpillar Beaded Beads

These beads are nice focal points for a necklace. We’ll learn two styles of Spiky Beads by stitching the base of the bead in tubular Peyote stitch and then add fringe. We’ll learn this weaving technique with beads, needle, and thread.

(Beginners welcome/All levels)
(Experience w/ Needle & Thread helpful)

Materials to bring for Spiky/Caterpillar Bead Class:

For Base: Size 11 Delicas, 2 colors; size 8 Japanese seed beads 1 color

Embellishment Beads– Chips, pearls, and size 6, 8, 11 seed beads, or whatever else you want to embellish with (Japanese and/or Czech) also size 15 Japanese seed beads

Size 12 Beading Needle and thread ( Fireline, 6 lb test).
