Amethyst Haze Lotus Bracelet

6mm by 8mm faceted oval amethyst beads highlight the different shades of amethyst with graduated tones from the lightest to the deepest of purples. Amethyst is the birthstone for February and the Amethyst Haze Lotus Bracelet would make a great birthday present! This bracelet is strung on Softflex beading cable and accented by a Lotus Flower Lead Free pewter charm. There are enough beads included in this kit to make anywhere from a standard 6.5 inch bracelet to an 11 inch anklet. The bracelet is finished with a small length of sterling silver chain to make it adjustable.

Recommended Tools

  • cutter: side cutter 4.5 inch super fine $7.50
  • scissors: chinese craft 4 inch fine points for precision $4.00

Instructions

1 String crimp bead, cable guard and Lobster Clasp onto beading cable and flatten crimp bead with Chain Nose Pliers.
2 String two 3mm faceted spacer beads on the cable making sure that the tail of the Softflex cable passes through both beads. Trim excess beading cable.
3 String Amethyst and 3mm faceted spacer beads alternating until all Amethyst is strung or to desired length. End by stringing 2 spacer beads at the end.
4 Finish by stringing crimp bead, cable guard and seat chain segment and charm onto the cable guard. Pass back through the crimp and two final spacer beads. Tighten cable by pulling on the tail to remove any space between the beads and flatten the crimp with your Chain Nose Pliers.
