Green SuperDuo Earrings

by Ramona Brummett

These green SuperDuo earrings were inspired by the little four-leaf clover in the center. This earring design features fabulously fun green SuperDuos and mixed shades of super-sparkly green Swarovski crystal elements. Make these earrings for St. Patrick's Day, but wear them all year long for good luck. The earring measures two inches from the earwire.

Once you make these earrings, you can easily use this circular SuperDuo pattern to make earrings and pendants using all kinds of color combinations.

Have a measuring tape or yard stick on hand to measure your thread, and use your beeswax to strengthen your thread, if you like. These items are not included in kit.

step 1
step 1
Cut off two yards of thread, thread your needle and double your thread. Add four SuperDuos on to the thread and go back through the first SuperDuo to make a circle. Sew your thread through again a couple more times, tightening up your thread as you go.

Weave the tail of the thread back through the circle and trim. You have now formed a 4-petal flower with your first four SuperDuos.

Jump up to the second hole of the first SuperDuo bead.

TIPS - Use some beeswax to wax the thread, which makes it more stiff and workable. Go through circles of beads multiple times with your thread to ensure strength and durability.

Add one 3mm crystal, one SuperDuo, one 3mm crystal and go through the next SuperDuo. Repeat three more times.

With only the thread, go around your new pattern two more times.
