Primarily size #6 and #8 seed beads were used for this bead embroidered necklace. The embroidery was done in pavé stitch on suede cloth, and the border was completed with #6 seed beads. Working off and on, this free-form necklace took about four months to complete.
The centerpiece is made of mineral crystals surrounded by lavender, green and grey beads embroidered with pavé stitch, changing to hematite and spreading to bilateral swirls of purple, lavender and white #8 beads.
Below the centerpiece are green, lavender and purple seed beads that fall into lavender crystal squares at the point. The bottom of the piece is finished in silver, lavender, green and white #8 seed beads, terminating in green and purple crystals.
